Fresh fare rooted in tradition. Johnny Seesaw’s serves up simple inventive food with deep connections to the surrounding area and the inn’s heritage. Incorporating local ingredients with a fresh twist, our menu celebrates Vermont and elevates comfort food.

With the main dining room in the footprint of the 1924 roadhouse, every effort has been made to recreate the wonder, look and feel of the original Johnny Seesaw’s. Inside, you will see the original log beams in the ceiling, the same bandstand (aka the “Seducerie”) mural that was painted in the WWII era, the legendary circular fire pit with the original black hood and copper cutouts, and the old fieldstone fireplace with authentic wood relief carvings.

Situated amid the hustle and bustle of a high-end, eclectic antique and home goods showroom, this Turkish-Mediterranean restaurant is “a local secret worth knowing about.” Depot 62 offers a totally organic menu for lunch, dinner, and dessert, along with an excellent, appropriate selection of wines by the glass. Grab a single table, or a seat at the copper-clad communal table in the middle of the shop. In summer weather, dine streetside under generous patio umbrellas.

Executive Chef, Ed St. Onge, has run some of Vermont’s busiest destination kitchens; from Stowe’s Topnotch Resort and Spa to the Stratton Mountain Club. In 2014, he teamed with his wife, Fortune 500 sales and marketing consultant, Nancy St. Onge, to create one of Manchester’s hottest new dining experiences. The Raven’s Den is a fast-casual steakhouse where everything is made from scratch and patrons can expect great food, great service, and great atmosphere at a reasonable price.

Menu items cater to a variety of tastes; from a tender and juicy Black Angus steak, to a classic seafood dish, to a plate from the salad bar stocked with seasonal produce, handcrafted dressings, Vermont cheeses, and freshly baked breads. Visitors can enjoy an upscale meal in the dining room, a custom cocktail in front of the stone fireplace, or a grass-fed burger in the tavern.

The “Den” is the area’s only restaurant to offer wines-on-tap, a state of the art delivery system where reds and whites are available by the pour, always as if they’ve just been uncorked! This offering, combined with their regular wine list and inventory of spirits, has earned the restaurant a 2015 Wine Spectator “Award of Excellence.” As a thirty year veteran of the hospitality industry and winner of the Vermont Chef-of-the-Year award from ACF, Chef Ed is proud of this achievement and says that he prices wines affordably because he wants them “to be accessible for patrons to enjoy with their meal.”

Raven’s Den also happens to be a brand new snowmobile destination! Nestled in the southwest corner of Vermont between the Green Mountains to the east and the Taconic Mountains to the west, and located just off trail 7F4 in Corridor 4, at the end of Rootville Road, riders can drive their sled directly to ample parking on the restaurant’s snow-covered lawn.

A little about our history……The original Double Hex was established in the early 70s, by “Big” John and Lucy who were well known for their great burgers and welcoming hospitality. The name Double Hex refers to the two adjoining hexagonal structures that compose our home.

Chef owned and operated, Zoey’s Double Hex, was established in the spring of 2000, and has carried on Big John’s and Lucy’s tradition of warm hospitality and great food. We offer everything from over a dozen varieties of burgers, to roasted salmon, maple glazed chicken, mac and cheese, steak and much more.

With delicious food at great prices, we were so busy we had to expand in 2006. We have plenty of seating both indoors and during the warmer weather, outdoors as well, on our screened in deck where you can enjoy the fresh air, but the bugs can’t enjoy you. We also have an abundance of parking and a beautiful garden you will love.

A celebration of the seasons in Southern Vermont.

The Restaurant at Hill Farm, nestled in the Equinox Valley is a celebration of this time and place in Southern Vermont.  Dinner is served in our beautiful, lofted barn with a wood-fired oven and sweeping views of the Taconic Mountain Range.  Seasonal farm-to-table menus by Chef Austin Poulin are sourced from our own market garden, as well as from our neighboring food community.  Our full bar features seasonal cocktails, Vermont beers on tap and a wine program that is committed to sustainable vineyards.  The Restaurant offers table seating for small and large groups, as well as seating at our bar and our Chef’s Counter. Mother Myrick’s Summer Reading Program

The Summer Reading Program is Back!!

Mother Myrick’s Confectionery announces the dates for its annual Summer Reading Program! It starts on June 18th and the program ends September 11th.
This reading program, in its 32nd year, is designed to motivate kids to read during the summer with rewards for reading various books chosen by each child.

Here at Mother Myrick’s, we provide our “game board” which has directions to guide each child through steps to earn treats as they read. (We encourage younger siblings to also join in by having an adult read to them). The hope is for children who don’t care to read will become reading converts! It’s lots of fun and keeps reading skills sharp until school starts again. Students in grades K through 6 are invited to participate.
