Executive Chef, Ed St. Onge, has run some of Vermont’s busiest destination kitchens, from Stowe’s Topnotch Resort and Spa to the Stratton Mountain Club. In 2014, he teamed with his wife, Fortune 500 sales and marketing consultant, Nancy St. Onge, to create one of Manchester’s hottest new dining experiences. The Raven’s Den is a fast-casual steakhouse where everything is made from scratch and patrons can expect great food, great service, and great atmosphere at a reasonable price.

Menu items cater to a variety of tastes; from a tender and juicy Black Angus steak to a classic seafood dish, to a plate from the salad bar stocked with seasonal produce, handcrafted dressings, Vermont cheeses, and freshly baked breads. Visitors can enjoy an upscale meal in the dining room, a custom cocktail in front of the stone fireplace, or a grass-fed burger in the tavern.

The “Den” is the area’s only restaurant to offer wines-on-tap, a state-of-the-art delivery system where reds and whites are available by the pour, always as if they’ve just been uncorked! This offering, combined with their regular wine list and inventory of spirits, has earned the restaurant a 2015 Wine Spectator “Award of Excellence.” As a thirty-year veteran of the hospitality industry and winner of the Vermont Chef-of-the-Year award from ACF, Chef Ed is proud of this achievement and says that he prices wines affordably because he wants them “to be accessible for patrons to enjoy with their meal.”

Ye Olde Tavern Proprietors, Michael and Minna Brandt, welcome guests with the genteel hospitality of a bygone era. Upon arrival,  the wide plank floors, roaring fireplaces, and antique furnishings recall 18^th century New England. Stenciling throughout the restaurant recreates patterns typical of itinerant painter, Mose Eaton, whose work can be found throughout the region.

Listed with the Vermont Register of Historic Places, the tavern building was first constructed in 1790 by Dorset Master Architect, Aaron Sheldon, as The Stagecoach Inn. It catered to the likes of Vermont’s famous Green Mountain Boys, as well as a cadre of statesmen and gentry who enjoying dining and socializing in elegant period simplicity.

Menu selections include regional dishes — Yankee Pot Roast and Lobster Bisque, for example — along with traditional continental favorites. You’ll find Prime Rib, Shrimp Scampi, and Chicken Picatta on the daily menu, plus vegetarian offerings, seasonal specials, and kid-friendly options. An excellent wine list and a carefully curated selection of vintage cocktails are always available.

The Crooked Ram started as a humble, retail-only bottle shop in 2017. In a few short and wild years, we have grown into a full restaurant with three distinct experiences living together under one roof: The Cafe, The Dining Room and The Yard. Each experience offers its own menu and setting, but all three are shaped by the same desire to bring people together to share special food and drink in a warm atmosphere, with great music.

Rooted in the agricultural and natural beauty of Vermont, The Crooked Ram is guided by local-first sourcing, with intentional additions of regional and international products that align with our sustainable efforts. The Restaurant at Hill Farm, nestled in the Equinox Valley is a celebration of this time and place in Southern Vermont.  Dinner is served in our beautiful, lofted barn with a wood-fired oven and sweeping views of the Taconic Mountain Range.  Seasonal farm-to-table menus by Chef Austin Poulin are sourced from our own market garden, as well as from our neighboring food community.  Our full bar features seasonal cocktails, Vermont beers on tap and a wine program that is committed to sustainable vineyards.  The Restaurant offers table seating for small and large groups, as well as seating at our bar and our Chef’s Counter. Outdoor seating is also available, in season, on our wrap around deck.

Hill Farm supports our local food and craft producers by offering their goods in our Farmstand, which is in the Restaurant.

The Works Café got its start right here in Manchester, Vermont. The year was 1988 and we served delicious, traditional bagels and other healthy foods sourced locally. A little about our history……The original Double Hex was established in the early 70s, by “Big” John and Lucy who were well known for their great burgers and welcoming hospitality. The name Double Hex refers to the two adjoining hexagonal structures that compose our home.

Chef owned and operated, Zoey’s Double Hex, was established in the spring of 2000, and has carried on Big John’s and Lucy’s tradition of warm hospitality and great food. We offer everything from over a dozen varieties of burgers, to roasted salmon, maple glazed chicken, mac and cheese, steak and much more.

With delicious food at great prices, we were so busy we had to expand in 2006. We have plenty of seating both indoors and during the warmer weather, outdoors as well, on our screened in deck where you can enjoy the fresh air, but the bugs can’t enjoy you. We also have an abundance of parking and a beautiful garden you will love.
