On April 8, 2024, at approximately 2:14 pm, the partial solar eclipse begins, culminating in an almost total eclipse of the sun (approx. 96%) at 3:26 pm, lasting about 3 minutes. The phenomenon will continue as a partial eclipse until 4:37 pm. Though we will not be in the direct path of the total eclipse, driving just about an hour north of town, it can be viewed in its totality.
