Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) is excited to welcome Meg Lowman to talk about the power of trees. Meg Lowman loves trees. She loves them so much that she has dedicated her life to learning, researching, and protecting the world’s canopy ecosystems. Over the years, “Canopy Meg” as she is nicknamed, has worked in more than 40 countries on six continents, conducting pioneering research and conservation in some of Earth’s most remote and endangered forests. Considered one of the world’s first “arbornauts”, Dr. Lowman is a scientist, explorer, conservationist, mentor, storyteller, and educator. She is also a visionary leader whose life is a remarkable journey of discovery, adventure, and inspiration. This event will kick off with a short slide presentation of her incredible work, followed by a sit-down conversation with Alan Stoga of the Tällberg Foundation, of which Meg is the recipient of the 2023 Tällberg-SNF-Eliasson Global Leadership Prize. This program is offered in partnership with the Green Mountain Girls. Registration is $22 per person.
