Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) welcomes arts educator Stacy Gates to lead this workshop, where students will learn to “bend” glass rods to create this cool optical illusion effect. While the technique looks complicated, this is a beginner friendly workshop. You will learn how to score and cut glass, how to use spaghetti like glass stringers, and how to assemble the square form. After the workshop, the instructor will fire the piece two times in the glass kiln to fully fuse and shape the plate. The plate will be ready to pick up approximately two weeks after the workshop.
