Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) is excited to welcome back Albany Law School Professor Vincent Bonventre to talk about the Supreme Court. There is a six-justice majority of Republican appointees on the current court. They are decidedly more politically conservative than the three remaining justices – the Democratic appointees, who are just as decidedly more politically liberal. This talk will review the major developments at the Supreme Court, with particular focus on the impact of the Court’s 6-3 conservative majority. We will explore the resulting decisional record of the Court as a whole, as well as the voting patterns of the individual Justices. This program will also be available online via live stream.
