With the weather cooling and snow falling, Amy’s on the Road shifts gears.  Offering made to order foods will be available for ordering and pick up. Please check our website for ordering deadlines and pickup dates. In the New Year, prepared foods will be available for ordering and pickup, and the menu options will be posted on our website.  Catering Services for small to medium sized parties are available throughout the winter season.

Amy’s on the Road operates one of the most unique dining experiences in town. From mid-April through mid-October the 1968 23′ Airstream “Land Yacht” trailer nicknamed “Peg” will be serving up breakfast and lunch, all day, to locals and visitors alike. Stop by Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 am – 2:30 pm and enjoy many delicious items from our famous breakfast sandwich, the crispy fried chicken sandwich to the vegetarian’s favorite, falafel. Our freshly baked muffins and cookies are also a big hit. With daily specials that always include ethnic and vegetarian options, you will be served up FRESH food fast! Don’t forget to join us for our Friday Night Fish Fry’s held every Friday from June 9 – August 18.

Their Story:

After 23 years of owning an operating one of Manchester best dining experiences, The Perfect Wife Restaurant and Tavern, Chef Amy wanted to spend more time with her family.  Although she closed the restaurant, she never lost her deep hearted passion for cooking but she knew there had to be a way to have a better work life balance.,  A way to spend the quality time with her family and friends and to fulfill her passion to create delicious food.

The word spread that Chef Amy was buying a converted Airstream and embarking on a “food-truck” offering in Manchester. . A long-time friend and Chef himself, Gary Walker called her to suggest a partnership. Gary Walker wanted back in to the culinary world after from his 10-year Chef stint at the Barrow’s House Inn and Restaurant. A partnership was born. The name “Amy’s on the Road” is a tribute to its roadside location next to the Perfect Piece Consignment Shop at 4361 Main Street, Manchester, VT 05254

curATE café brings a modern sensibility paired with classic and regional fare. Artfully curated small plates, salads, artisanal sandwiches, gourmet coffee beverages, and a full bar — all in the artful setting of SVAC’s galleries and grounds.

Mother Myrick’s Summer Reading Program

The Summer Reading Program is Back!!

Mother Myrick’s Confectionery announces the dates for its annual Summer Reading Program! It starts on June 18th and the program ends September 11th.
This reading program, in its 32nd year, is designed to motivate kids to read during the summer with rewards for reading various books chosen by each child.

Here at Mother Myrick’s, we provide our “game board” which has directions to guide each child through steps to earn treats as they read. (We encourage younger siblings to also join in by having an adult read to them). The hope is for children who don’t care to read will become reading converts! It’s lots of fun and keeps reading skills sharp until school starts again. Students in grades K through 6 are invited to participate.

With the main dining room in the footprint of the 1924 roadhouse, every effort has been made to recreate the wonder, look and feel of the original Johnny Seesaw’s. Inside, you will see the original log beams in the ceiling, the same bandstand (aka the “Seducerie”) mural that was painted in the WWII era, the legendary circular fire pit with the original black hood and copper cutouts, and the old fieldstone fireplace with authentic wood relief carvings.
