Holiday Shopping is Made Easy in Manchester

Adventurers, shoppers, and foodies unite in Manchester, Vermont during the holiday season. Our many shops and restaurants dawn festive decor making for a magical setting, while the nearby ski resorts provide plenty of family-friendly atmosphere and unforgettable fun.

Manchester was recently featured as a top holiday destination by Country Living and a stroll through town will surely spark that festive feeling. There’s just about a week remaining before Christmas, but still time to get out and about around Manchester for last minute preparations.

First, a good hearty breakfast will be needed before you get those shopping steps in for the day. Charlie’s Coffee House is located just off of the Bonnet Street round-a-bout and has everything you need to get your adventures started. Enjoy one of their freshly baked goods or grab a pre-made sandwich or salad for a quick, on-the-go meal.

Get ready to unleash the gift giver within as you discover unique and meaningful products at the many shops found around town. The Manchester Designer Outlets will impress with an incredible selection found at reasonable prices. And of course, a stop to Manchester would not be complete without a browse through Northshire Bookstore. It’s easy to get lost in your imagination while looking through the stacks and shelves filled with books, gifts, and goodies for all ages. Many Vermont themed products can be found throughout the store and are perfect for that somebody who misses the Green Mountain State. For those who consider Vermont a home-away-from-home, also check out Above All Vermont. This cozy store on Depot Street has the ultimate souvenirs and a little bit of everything.

Shopping for a food lover? It’s like going back in time with the number of independent specialty markets and delis around every corner here in town. Al Ducci’s Italian Pantry offers everything Italian and even has a takeout menu offering sandwiches and plates that take the stress out of cooking at home yourself. If you’re hosting an upcoming holiday party, stop into the Italian Market of Manchester where you can find what you need to build the ultimate charcuterie board. To top it off, a trip to Mother Myrick’s Confectionery covers both breakfast and dessert.

Here in Manchester we’re gearing up for a white Christmas. There’s snow on the ground and a nip in the air. It’s a great excuse to spend a day exploring in the winter sunshine and curled up around the fire with a warm drink in the evenings.
