Fall Fun in Manchester, Vermont
We’re approaching that transitional time of the year again when the Green and Taconic Mountains provide visitors and locals alike with incredible colors, enhancing our already beautiful views. Our region offers some of the most scenic year-round vistas, even more unforgettable during the Fall. Even a simple drive on a backroad can unexpectedly lead to a picture-perfect scene. But the feeling of walking down the marble sidewalks as the colorful, fallen leaves crunch under your feet, will certainly make you feel like a kid again. Pile up the leaves and jump into Manchester, VT.
Manchester has many wonderful locations that can provide breathtaking views and memorable experiences. A local favorite any time of the year is Hildene, the Lincoln Family Home. The incredible historic preservation is a draw in itself, but the grounds provide another beautiful reason to visit. And during the fall the back gardens provide incredible views of the Green Mountains. Also, be sure to stop by the Hildene Farm to say hello to some of the animals! Another local year-round favorite, the Southern Vermont Arts Center, showcases some of the best art in New England and offers the perfect place to see Autumn in all its glory. Outdoor sculptures sprinkled in the fields and woodlands offer the perfect visual Fall experience.
Further opportunities for beautiful vistas await you at the American Museum of Fly Fishing thanks to their proximity to the Orvis fields and ponds.
