ART + PROVISIONS + GIFTS
Ellenbogen Gallery is artist owned and operated, exhibiting Carolina and Michael Ellenbogen’s paintings and photography alongside artworks from selected artists. A dedicated area in the gallery called the “store” specializes in gourmet provisions of respectable provenance including wine, conservas, artisan chocolate and craft bitters from around the world.
Carolina Ellenbogen is a painter who moves back and forth at between abstract and portrait, skilled with both oil and acrylic on canvas. Her abstract series at Ellenbogen Gallery includes “When the Light Breaks into Pieces” and “When the Light Folds” and her portraits are part of a series she calls “People I’ve Never Met”. She is available to do commissions of any size and color, in abstract or portrait.
Michael D Ellenbogen was introduced to black and white photography and had access to his father’s darkroom from a very early age. He photographs people, the landscape and architecture with a street photographer’s sensibility and abstract images inspired by the school of color field painting. He calls his color abstracts “Color Field Photography”.
Ellenbogen Gallery is available to provide art-related services including Art Installation, Artwork Rental, Artwork Photography for archival, reproduction or insurance purposes, Hi-Resolution Flatbed Scanning (up to 8.5” x 11.7”), Artwork Commissions, Art Consultation (for home or office) and Art Handling (boxing or crating) and Shipping (domestic or international).
PROVISIONS (Wine, Chocolate, Bitters and Conservas)
All selections are created by producers who focus on craft, quality, sustainability, and fair market practices. They go to great lengths to source the best ingredients available on the open market, often directly from farmers or fishermen. Many of the provisions are small batch and often numbered upon bottling or packaging.
Ellenbogen Gallery hosts ticketed events, and private events designed to provide guests with a casual learning and tasting experience to share with others in an intimate setting. Contact the Ellenbogens (in person, over email or on the phone) to discuss hosting your next private tasting event at the gallery for 8-12 people.
