Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) welcomes Dr. Edward Cameron to give an update on BREXIT. In June 2016, the United Kingdom narrowly voted in a referendum to leave the European Union. More than three years on, BREXIT remains unresolved. It has created political turmoil, already costing two successive prime ministers their jobs; led to a shift in traditional political allegiances; risks fracturing the UK into pieces as pressure for Scottish independence builds again; and depending on the outcome, could significantly undermine the British economy. What is the current state of the BREXIT negotiations? And where does the process go from here? This talk will unravel the mystery of BREXIT in real time, only two days after the British general election. Registration is $18 in advance or $22 at the door. For more information or to register, please call our office at 802-867-0111 or visit www.greenmtnacademy.org.
