On Friday, March 15, Maple Street School will host the eighth Southern Vermont Educators Symposium (SVES) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Elementary and secondary schools, private and public, as well as pre-schools in southern Vermont, are invited to attend the daylong event. This gathering together of talented individuals allows educators to share ideas and hone their professional skills as well as create new collaborative opportunities. The theme this year is “Innovating Education,” featuring keynote speakers Dr. Tom Mauhs-Pugh, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs and Professor of Education at Green Mountain College; and Bob Allen, President of Green Mountain College. This will be an "Off the Shelf" in conversation event moderated by WAMC/Northeast Public Radio's Joe Donahue of "Roundtable" and "The Book Show."
