Construction is generally seen as a “man’s job” but we want to change that, or at least shake up that point of view. We (rightfully) believe that Women can do anything they want to do, and this themed build day is to prove that point. Men are still welcome to attend, and some will be on site, but this day is made for Women.

The schedule for the day will be as follows:

8:30AM – Morning shift arrives for a safety meeting.
9:00AM-12:00PM- Morning shift.
12:00PM – Afternoon shift joins morning shift for a group lunch and photos.
12:30-1:00PM – Safety meeting for afternoon shift.
1:00-4:00PM – Afternoon shift.

Construction experience is always helpful, but is in no way a requirement.

Please wear closed toed shoes, and clothing you do not particularly care about, as we may be painting, and no matter what a construction site tends to get messy.

Lunch and a Tee Shirt will be provided. Please include your shirt size in registration, and email Volunteer@BenningtonCountyHabitat.org if you have any dietary restrictions, we will accommodate.

The $25 registration fee will go towards your tee shirt and lunch. Any excess funds raised will be used to create local affordable housing, and/or promote the next Women Build event we produce.
