Week of the Young Child: Artsy Thursday with Here Wee Grow!

April 16 @ 5:30pm-7:00pm
Free

Join us for a special one-time Artsy Thursday in partnership with Here We Grow Centers! Children will explore creativity while learning the importance of recycling by transforming everyday reusable materials into unique works of art. This hands-on event encourages imagination, problem-solving, and environmental awareness in a fun, engaging way. Let’s turn “trash” into treasure together!

This event is best for kids ages 10 and under.

Each April, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) invites educators, families, and communities to come together for the Week of the Young Child® (WOYC)—a joyful celebration of early learning, young children, and the adults who support them. Through themed days like Music Monday, Tasty Tuesday, and Artsy Thursday, WOYC highlights the critical role of play, creativity, and collaboration in a child’s development. It’s a time to recognize the importance of high-quality early childhood education and to advocate for the professionals who make it possible.
