Calling all young builders! If you are at least 8 years old, a challenge has been issued in the MCL Children’s Library. Work together or strike out on an individual quest to build a city that can withstand a potentially devastating flood. Using Duplo blocks and sponges, construct a city on a large baking tray. Then, find out if your work can stand against the forces of nature.

This program has been designed as a companion program to this year’s Vermont Reads book, The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton.
