Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) welcomes Bill Muench, cinematography teacher at Burr and Burton Academy, to lead this video documentary workshop. If you’ve ever wanted to make a documentary and didn’t know where to start, or if you’ve made a documentary and want to take your craft to the next level, this class is for you. This hands-on workshop will teach you the practical skills you need to tell great non-fiction stories. This interactive class focuses on three core skills for making great documentaries: how to film compelling interviews, how to shoot or find effective b-roll footage and how to edit your film. You will learn how to get great shots with even the most basic camera. (If you do not have a camera, one will be provided for you.) The goals are to become better filmmakers, storytellers and more knowledgeable and critical viewers of the documentary form. Preregistration is required and costs $75 for the four-session workshop. Class will meet Wednesdays, March 4, 11, 18, 25. For more information or to register, please call 802-867-0111 or visit our website at www.greenmtnacademy.org.
