The Gallery at the MCL is thrilled to announce its newest exhibit – Student Art.

Students from Burr and Burton Academy have put together a show to exhibit the skills and talents they have gained and developed through their art classes. The exhibit will include portraiture in graphite as well as acrylic and oil on canvas and Mixed Media Collage Paintings on canvas, student produced colorful papers which give the impression of mosaics. Additionally there will be representational work as well as abstract designs which were generated by a “prompt.” Some paintings will be accompanied by an Artist’s Statement, as the meaning behind the work is often much more complex than meets the eye. Student works from all grades in BBA’s Visual Art program including works in Photography, Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media, Digital Design, and Ceramics will be represented.
