Introducing the first annual Berm and Burn Uphill Mountain Bike Race. Set against the scenic backdrop of Stratton Mountain in South Londonderry, Vermont, competitors will have 6 hours to rack up as many laps as possible. There will be prize tiers reflected by your number of laps completed along with a variety of superlative prizes which will include stickers, gift cards, GoPros, back packs and more. This event offers a unique opportunity for riders of all ages and skill levels to challenge themselves, win some sweet gear and support the Jamaica Area Mountain Bike Alliance (JAMBA).articipants can choose to ride solo or pair up as a duo, with options for both analog and e-bike categories. Riders can complete as many laps as they desire within the 6-hour timeframe.
To celebrate the achievements and spirit of our participants, a variety of prizes will be awarded:
Top Finishers: Recognition for the top male and female riders in both analog and e-bike categories (GoPros and The North Face duffle bags).
Lap Milestones: Tiered prizes for riders completing specific lap counts (e.g., 3, 5, 9, and 11 for analog – 10, 15, 20, and 25 for e-bike).
Special Categories: Oldest and Youngest Competitor (backpacks), Duo with Largest Age Gap (backpacks), Dad with Most Laps (The North Face hammock), Best Costume (Smith Shift Mag sunglasses), and Best Camp Setup (cooler).
Supporting a Worthy Cause
A portion of the race proceeds will benefit JAMBA (Jamaica Mountain Bike Association), an organization dedicated to developing and maintaining sustainable mountain biking trails in the Jamaica, Vermont area. Your participation helps promote outdoor recreation and environmental stewardship in our community.
Registration Details:
Fees: $25 for participants under 18; $35 for those 18 and over. Please note that registration fees will increase by $10 on the day of the event.
Deadline: Online registration closes on June 13, 2025, at 11:59 PM EDT.
All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, and on-course support will be provided, including hydration stations and bike patrols.
