Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) welcomes Dr. Edward Cameron to talk about the current state of the climate. 2021 is a landmark year for efforts to address the climate crisis and build a low-carbon, resilient and inclusive economy. In August, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concluded seven years of research with the publication of the most comprehensive scientific assessment of our climate system ever conducted. In early November, world leaders will gather in Glasgow, Scotland at a summit to revise public policy commitments under the Paris Agreement. With the US reeling from record heat, raging wildfires, and devastating storms we will explore how our climate is changing and what we can do about it. Registration is $18 in advance or $24 at the door.
