This workshop aims to prepare participants to successfully (and happily) complete their spring organizing projects – whether that’s readying their shed for this year’s gardening, sorting through winter clothing, getting ready for a town yard sale, keeping their home organized with kids, or anything in between!
Using a mixture of lecture, group discussion, and solo journaling time, we’ll walk through the planning process I use with all of my organizing clients. Together, we’ll work our way through the workshop handouts, with each participant using an organizing project they’d like to complete or an example project.
We’ll:
– identify the project and ideal outcomes
– discuss common obstacles to getting organizing projects done, identify any specific obstacles to the projects in the room, and collectively come up with solutions
– break down the projects into manageable chunks and find a comfortable starting point for each
– explore different organizing methods for different outcomes, useful materials to have on-hand, and tips, tricks, and time-savers
– have time for a Q+A at the end
Kris has been happily working as a professional home organizer for four years now, though it’s really a lifetime of experience — she’s been helping friends and family organize and downsize since she was a kid! Kris also volunteers as the manager of The MINT Downtown’s secondhand art supply store in Rutland. Rearranging the store, keeping it orderly, and sorting through donations all keep her organizing skills sharp.
