Birds play an important role in the ecosystem. One of the reasons to count birds is to keep track of their movement during seasons in order to learn whether their old haunts are providing sufficient nutrients for them to nest and maintain their families. Noting their habits and success provide insights in how the birds are doing in your neighborhood and the trails you travel on. We’ll talk about the Apps ornithologists have developed for bird identifications Apps, in particular Merlin, eBird, (which are free) and others which help us identify them.

We invite seniors to gather and talk in front of our fireplace every other Wednesday to discuss programs and events that interest you. Socialize and hear from experts on medicare choices, social security, financial planning, home health care, and so on.
