Second Saturdays with Merck Forest & Farmland Center: Nature Journaling

April 11 @ 11:00am-12:30pm
Free

Nature is wondrous and exciting, and when we slow down it can also be calming. Join a Merck Forest Field Educator at the library to explore outdoor mindfulness activities for kids. Make a nature journal to record observations when outdoors, try out a Sit Spot, and take home ideas for grounding activities that can be done in any outdoor space.

Merck Forest & Farmland Center holds Second Saturday programs each month at the Manchester Community Library. MFFC field educators provide seasonally themed environmental science learning and facilitate exciting and hands-on nature-based activities. Programs are designed for kids ages 6 and up.

Note: Per the Library’s Patron Conduct Policy, parents or guardians are responsible for the welfare and behavior of their minor children (under 18) in the Library or on Library grounds. Minors under 12 must be accompanied and supervised by a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult unless participating in a Library program. Minors aged 12 to 17 are permitted to use the Library unaccompanied by a parent or guardian. The Manchester Community Library assumes no responsibility for unattended minors in all circumstances.
