Second Saturdays with Merck Forest & Farmland Center: Compass Skills

June 13 @ 11:00am-12:30pm
Free

Join a field educator at the Manchester Community Library for an adventurous compass skills workshop. Learn how to use a compass, how to read and make your own map, and go on an orienteering treasure hunt around the Library yard. A small number of compasses will be provided by Merck Forest. If you have your own compass, bring it with you!

Merck Forest & Farmland Center holds Second Saturday programs each month at the Manchester Community Library. MFFC field educators provide seasonally themed environmental science learning and facilitate exciting and hands-on nature-based activities. Programs are designed for kids ages 6 and up.

Note: Per the Library’s Patron Conduct Policy, parents or guardians are responsible for the welfare and behavior of their minor children (under 18) in the Library or on Library grounds. Minors under 12 must be accompanied and supervised by a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult unless participating in a Library program. Minors aged 12 to 17 are permitted to use the Library unaccompanied by a parent or guardian. The Manchester Community Library assumes no responsibility for unattended minors in all circumstances.
