Pranayama: Yogic Breathing to Enhance Vitality

Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) is excited to offer a class on yogic breathing with international yoga teacher Larissa Hall Carlson. This workshop will take place via Zoom teleconference on Saturday, June 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Discover the vast benefits of yogic breath-work (pranayama) in this fun, educational, and experiential workshop. After briefly discussing the history and traditional usage of pranayama, we’ll delve into several classic techniques to both soothe and energize. Explore simple, safe, effective breathing techniques to enhance concentration, support relaxation, reduce stress, bolster immunity, and boost inner peace. These pranayamas chosen for springtime are perfect to use at work, home, or on the yoga mat – and are wonderful to use in conjunction with meditation.
