Where’s Waldo? Hiding in Manchester of course! The famous children’s book character in the striped shirt and black-rimmed specs will be hiding in local businesses and community organizations throughout our communities this July. Join in our fun scavenger hunt and win great prizes! Stop by Northshire Bookstore to pick up your passport and begin the search.

Where’s Waldo is the creation of Martin Handford, whose entertaining drawings of crowd scenes swept the world in the late eighties. In celebration of Waldo’s longevity and popularity, his American publisher, Candlewick Press, is once again teaming up with the American Booksellers Association and 250 independent bookstores all across the country for some scavenger hunt fun as well as to encourage communities to patronize their local businesses.

The first 125 players who collect store stamps/signatures from at least 10 different businesses and turn their passports in to the host bookstore win a sticker and a $1 Off coupon. Players who collect 20 of the 30 possible stamps/signatures win a sticker and a $1 Off coupon PLUS they are entered in a drawing on August 1 for other prizes. Team play is acceptable, but prizes, other than stickers and coupons, are single.
