The CommUNITY Potluck is traveling to Dana L. Thompson Memorial Park this month to celebrate Juneteenth with a Jam featuring live entertainment from the George Boone Blues Band, Patrick “Wisdom” Sargeant, Tony Rogers, Jamele Adams, and Mia Schultz. The event will also include Jamerican Cuisine, a potluck, a hair clinic with Terrance Humphries, Gloria Sheelah, and Sierra Norse, hair and tarot readings with Lydia, self defense and martial arts workshops with 6th degree black belt Jon Bottoms, a basketball clinic with local coaches, face painting with Tina, bracelet making, arts and crafts, book readings, and giveaways!
This family-friendly potluck is intended to celebrate the BIPOC community. Our goal is to bring families together in a safe, loving, and supportive environment to meet their neighbors, find support, share resources, speak on community issues and opportunities while having some fun!
