Welcome to ceramics! This class is an introduction to the studio, material, and different fabrication methods using hand building techniques and the potter’s wheel with ceramic artist Zena Verda Pesta. Discover the art of ceramics in this introductory class! Learn handbuilding techniques—including coil, pinch, and slab construction—and get a hands-on introduction to the potter’s wheel. Practice centering, opening, pulling, and shaping, then finish your pieces with studio glazes. Each student receives 25 pounds of clay, included in the fee.
