The Sparkle Barn is pleased to announce an “Infinite Lit” event on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 7:00 PM (rescheduled from February). Infinite Lit is an evening of Spoken Word Poetry co-produced by Michael Kingsbury and Bianca Zanella. Performers will stand up and in a poetic form share their original thoughts, ideas, and expressions.
This month’s show on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at the Sparkle Barn in Wallingford will begin at 7:00 PM, and the theme is “Relationships.” Up to ten open mic poets may sign up for a five to eight-minute slot. The Spring featured poets are both Luke Krueger and Caitlin Gildrien.
Luke Krueger is a playwright by trade. His work has been seen across the country and Canada. His plays are published by Playscripts, Inc., Original Works, Next Stage Press, and a variety of journals and anthologies. His plays have also been featured at The Last Frontier, Mid-America, and Comparative Drama Conferences. He was the first playwright named as the Emerging Writer-in-Residence at Penn State. Luke has returned to writing poetry over the last five years after writing a number of verse dramas: …Of the Joy that Kills (Dansz Loop Chicago, Dance Chicago!, and Northern Illinois University); Sweetness and Light (Northern Illinois University); and Us American Players (Northern Illinois University). Luke is also a happy and active participant of the Rumpus. Luke holds a BA in English-Creative Writing from Miami University (Ohio), and an MFA in Creative Writing-Play-writing from Arizona State University. He currently lives in Manchester, Vermont, with his wife Christina, and their daughters. Josephina and Gabriella (born February 15). Luke is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America.
Caitlin Gildrien is a writer and visual designer who lives with her family on a 200-year-old farmstead at the feet of the Green Mountains, on sandy loam that was once the bottom of an ancient sea.
