Groundbreaking New Body of Work from Street Artist Goons
Grand Opening Costume Gala
Helmholz Fine Art announces artist Goons will be presenting his groundbreaking new body of work at GOONS GALA on Saturday, October 30, at 7 p.m.
Several years in the making, Goons will fill the gallery with new work and custom installations.
The night will be filled with energy and excitement as the DJ Electro Couture plays live music to a costumed crowd.
Collectors can’t get enough of Goons’ signature lips. His trademark style began in the Chicago streets over 16 years ago, and now hangs in private collections. He has since shown at Art Basel, and worked with major brands including Wrigley’s Gum, Red Bull, and Nike for their flagship Jordan store. His work is admired by many popular indie bands of today and he has worked with a number of them on album artwork, animations and set designs, including punk rock band SWMRS (the drummer is son of Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong). He’s been featured in the New York Times, XXL, Spin and Paste magazine for such achievements.
The show marks a new era of street art meets fine art for Goons, as he brings color and texture to his multimedia canvases. Known for his color, bold expression, and pushing the envelope, Goons’ last show at Helmholz Fine Art in 2018 was a huge success. The gallery was packed and the party went late with dancing.
Goons lives and works out of a studio in Manchester.
Electro Couture, a Goons collector and collaborator will be spinning music for the night.
Show up to party! Dress code is art, glamour, expression, surrealism, avant garde, the weird and wonderful. We request that unvaccinated attendees wear a mask.
