Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) welcomes artist Elinor Katz to lead this mosaic workshop. Picque Assiette Mosaic is a universally practiced craft. Artisans use shards of old ceramic china dishes, pottery and other related bits and pieces to create mosaic designs on all sorts of surfaces. In this three-day workshop, students will learn techniques to repurpose old unused dishes and other related found bits and pieces to create a unique design on a very usable wooden photo frame. Class will meet Saturday, Sunday, Monday, March 11, 12, 13 (10 am – 2 pm each day) in the Joan Hay Madeira Education Center at SVAC. Registration is $250 for the three-day workshop and includes supplies to complete your photo frame. To make designs more meaningful, students are encouraged to bring a small selection of their own old pieces of discarded china plates, cups, lids, etc. For more information or to register, please call our office at 802-867-0111 or visit greenmtnacademy.org.
