Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) is happy to welcome back writer and photographer Christopher Dant to talk about Ansel Easton Adams. Join us for a personal and in-depth look into America’s most celebrated photographer and environmentalist, a man who was quite literally the most influential and beloved photographer and conservationist of the 20th century, becoming a national institution through his stunning iconic images of the great American wilderness. The popularity of Ansel’s work has only continued to increase well after his death in 1984. In this presentation Christopher Dant will tell you about the man, his legacy, and his photographs with a beautiful slideshow of Adams’ most legendary photographs and how they were created. Dant studied with Adams in Carmel, California in the early 1980s, and will recount some of his experiences with Adams. Registration is $22 per person.
