Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) welcomes local historians Jonak Spivak and Shawn Harrington to talk about commemorating the founding of Vermont. The 250th anniversaries are coming! From 1775 through 1777, a revolutionary fervor gripped this region which saw the creation of the Republic of Vermont, and played a pivotal role in removing British control of the fledgling United States of America. Learn about the Battle of Bennington, the unique history of commemorations in our region, and find out about plans for the upcoming anniversary years from 2025 through 2027 and how you can participate. Registration is $22 per person.
