Join area students at the Factory Point Town Green in Manchester on Friday, September 15, at 12:30 PM to participate in the Global Climate Strike. The idea originated with Greta Thunberg’s group Fridays for Future, who demanded a reduction of carbon emissions to prevent future heating of our planet. This will be the first Climate Strike since 2019. It is more evident this year, with the flooding, fires and heat waves across the world, that our planet is in crisis. Today’s students—young adults and young children alike—will be impacted by worsening climate troubles if we do not take immediate action to stop the climate changes that we are already experiencing.
Come to the Factory Point Town Green on Depot Street in Manchester at 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM on September 15. We will then rally around the big roundabout by Northshire Bookstore, so bring signs and noisemakers. Let’s gather with our children and grandchildren and show them our support. Let’s show kids that we care about their future. Let’s show kids that we will take action. Let’s show kids that we are willing to change our lives to save theirs!
