Join us for a special evening celebrating the handwoven art of Alp Basdogan, whose work blends centuries-old Turkish craftsmanship with modern design. Through his rugs, Alp honors the cycle of renewal, where “old becomes new”, reflecting his lifelong devotion to heritage, family, and creativity.

Born into a family of rug merchants in Adana, Turkey, Alp has spent decades redefining the art of weaving. From his early showroom in New York City to his beloved Manchester destination, Depot 62, he has continued to bridge cultures and generations. Using natural vegetable dyes, handspun wool, and reimagined vintage textiles, Alp transforms traditional techniques into bold modern statements. Each rug is a story woven in color, texture, and time.

The opening event will feature an opportunity to meet the artist, along with food and wine provided by Depot 62.
