All kids age 6-12 are invited to join us on Thursday mornings at the American Museum of Fly Fishing for adventures into the world of fly fishing. Each week, we will explore a different aspect of the sport. Lessons are not cumulative, so feel free to stop by any week and join in on the action.
July 7: Tie a fly with fly tiers Paul Sinicki and Kelly Bedford. Discover what materials make flies so enticing to fish.
July 14: Learn about the different types of equipment and make a practice rod. Learn how to cast!
July 21: Learn Gyotaku, the traditional Japanese method of printing fish. Get crafty making fish themed art. Materials will be provided.
July 28: Discover fish species & their habitats. Go on a bug hunt & learn what fish like to eat.
