We are excited to announce the start of another First Lego League (FLL) season for the Fiery Froggies, a robotics team at the Manchester Community Library!

FLL is a global robotics competition that encourages students to learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through hands-on, project-based learning. Teams of students work together to design, build, and program autonomous robots using LEGO Mindstorms technology. They also research and present a project related to a real-world problem.

Our mission is to inspire and empower young minds, ages 9 to 16, through the principles of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). We strive to solve engineering challenges and promote problem-solving skills and creativity using LEGO Robotics.

Our club is dedicated to fostering a fun and engaging environment where every member can explore their potential, collaborate with peers, and develop a lifelong passion for innovation and technology. Young children are welcome, with adult supervision, ensuring an inclusive space for all ages to learn and grow together. Through hands-on learning and exciting projects, dedicated participants will be eligible to compete in local and regional competitions, further enhancing their skills and experiences. We aim to build not only robots but also future leaders and thinkers.

Our team will meet weekly on Tuesdays after school from 4:00-6:00pm to work on our robots and team projects. Our season culminates in a regional robotics tournament in December 2024, with a chance to advance to a statewide competition in January 2025.
