Explore the incredible colors of fall in this watercolor painting workshop with botanical artist and instructor Corry Buckwalter.

As the Victorian artist and art critic John Ruskin wrote, “If you can paint one leaf, you can paint the world.” Learning how to paint leaves offers an extraordinary training in understanding shape, color and perspective. Step-by-step, you will learn the skills to layer washes of watercolors to create bright paintings of fall leaves. Through direct observation, learn to draw and paint curling leaves, with inspiration from botanical artists throughout history.

Techniques include mixing paints, creating washes, painting wet-into-wet, and more. An additional leaves workshop may be offered during the week of October 18th depending on interest.
