Out of an abundance of caution, the Library has made the difficult decision to temporarily close as of 6pm today, March 16, 2020. We will be re-evaluating this decision on April 13th. Accordingly, please note that today will be the last day that patrons can pick up holds or borrow items from the Library until we reopen.

The MCL is your public library and a gem in our community, but our community’s health and the well-being of our staff is our top priority. We are deeply committed to serving the public, and the best way to do that at this time is to help minimize the spread of COVID-19. As you may know, the CDC is currently recommending that organizers cancel or postpone events with 50 people or more for 8 weeks. It is not unusual for the Library to welcome over 150 visitors a day. That said, we recognize that this is an evolving situation; please continue to check our website (mclvt.org) for updates and further information.

During our closure, our dedicated staff will aim to continue to be available from 10am – 2pm, Monday through Friday. Staff will be answering phones and serving the public virtually to the best of our ability.

This cookbook discussion group is free and open to the public – drop-ins are welcome! On Tuesday, March 17, the group will discuss bread making.
