Chick Days at MCL: Build a Brooder Box

The eggs are almost here! Help Farmer Karen candle the eggs to see how the chicks are growing, then work together to build a home for the baby chicks complete with straw, food, and a warm place to sleep.
MCL is leading up to a dinosaur-themed summer with the mighty T-rex’s closest living relative – the chicken. “Chick Days at MCL” provides a hands-on learning experience that will spark curiosity and build background knowledge on animal life cycles and farming.
Supported in part by the Children’s Literacy Foundation.
