Join award-winning watercolorist Robert O’Brien, AWS, NWS, via Zoom, from the warmth of your home. Learn how to paint the magnificent New England landscape in winter. Robert will share techniques for creating contrast and spectacular light effects through the use of shadow on a snowy subject. Zoom is a terrific way to experience watercolor demos; Robert has polished his online camera set-up, and you will have a great view. Please find the Zoom link in your registration confirmation email.

This is a two-session workshop, best for those with some watercolor experience. Returning students are welcome (instruction is individualized). Robert will demonstrate on the first day, introducing glazing and layering techniques for the subtle tints of snow. He will emphasize value, composition and painting light and shadow, explaining every step of his painting process. Students will paint on the second day; Robert will provide guidance and a critique at the end of the session.
