Beginners will learn the basic functions of their cameras as well as the basis of ALL photography–the exposure triangle. Through class instruction and a series of homework assignments, students will begin to master the use of shutter speed, aperture and ISO to take complete control of image creation. A digital camera for this class is recommended. Cell phones may be possible with use of a specialized app; please contact the instructor before registering if you are interested in using a cell phone.
When registering choose “Beginner Photography 1 (afternoon session)” from the list of 12 classes offered.
You will be joining students from New England and beyond to create a new online creative community. Thom Williams photography classes come to SVAC in an exciting new way–more than a dozen arts centers are partnering to offer this suite of photography classes. Each class meets four times for an hour and a half, beginning on the date and time listed (except Advanced Photography and Advanced Photo Editing, which meet eight times).
