Manchester Music Festival

Bringing the Passion and Beauty of Classical Music to Southwestern Vermont

Manchester Music Festival welcomes renowned artists to Manchester, VT for five weeks of concerts and events during the summer season. The Festival’s 47th season will kick off on July 8, 2021, and features an impressive lineup of outstanding musicians and exciting performances. With protocols in place to protect the health and safety of patrons top of mind, the 2021 summer festival will have options to experience the joy of music together: in person, outdoors, and online.

Mainstage Chamber Concerts
Five Thursdays of world-class chamber music at the Arkell Pavilion, Southern Vermont Arts Center.  Starting July 8, MMF will be offering a matinee performance at 2:00pm and an evening performance at 7:30pm. Sit socially distanced inside the Pavilion, or outside on the Arkell Lawn, where patrons of all ages can listen to the Thursday concerts in a more casual, open-air environment.  Evening performances will be live-streamed to the MMF Digital Concert Hall.

Music on the Arkell Lawn
Outside on the Arkell Lawn, join us for a more casual listening experience every Thursday.  For both matinee and evening performances, we will be piping music onto the Lawn for those who prefer to stay outdoors. Patrons of all ages can relax and enjoy a picnic spread in your concert pod while listening to the sweet sounds of beautiful music!

Gallery Recitals
Offering free recitals throughout the summer season on Saturday evenings at 5:00pm in the Yester House Gallery, SVAC.  These solo or duo performances in a traditional salon setting provide the audience with a unique opportunity to experience our renowned guest musicians in a different light. Performances will be live-streamed to the MMF Digital Concert Hall.

Young Artists Concerts
Come and see the students of the MMF Young Artists Program perform in free concerts on Sundays starting July 11, at 11:00am and 5:00pm in the Yester House Gallery, SVAC.  These talented musicians, ages 18-26, spend the summer honing their craft under the tutelage of our guest faculty artists. Evening performances will be live-streamed to the MMF Digital Concert Hall.
