Manchester Community Library

Manchester Community Library is open to all as an inspiring gathering place for the community, providing opportunities and resources for personal enrichment and growth. The library is more like a community center than a traditional library, providing spaces, services, technology, and materials to meet, work, study, read, surf, and learn. Its physical space is designed to LEED Silver standards, with sustainable energy solutions and library planning principles in mind. It’s convenient to the center of downtown Manchester and fully ADA compliant. The staff at MCL is committed to providing residents and visitors alike with education, entertainment, and enrichment opportunities.

Meet you at the Library!

"A vibrant library is a social hub, a center of education, and a place to nurture entrepreneurial ideas."

Our library is a vibrant and trusted place where children and families can read and learn together. The Children's Barn is flooded with natural light and designed to be an open, safe, and flexible environment offering books, computers, e-readers, and hands-on learning opportunities for children of all ages. The Loft is home to our Young Adult collections and is designed for youth in grades 5-8, with a selection of books and media tailored to their ever growing needs. Visit for calendar of upcoming events

The Manchester Community Library offers free public Wi-Fi 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, accessible from the parking lot and patios as well as from inside the building (during our open hours).
