Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home

Located in historic Manchester Village, Hildene, the 412 acre Lincoln family estate is just a short drive from three of the regions’ most famed ski resorts, and within an hour to many of Southern Vermont, The Berkshires and Hudson Valley’s most beloved cultural and natural resources.  You and your guests will be captivated by the area’s charm, cradled by its mountains, and pleased with the easy access to recreation.  Most importantly, they will be inspired by the beauty that surrounds them in all directions.  Your mile long drive on the country road that leads to the home gives entry into another world entirely, from the gated entry, on past Hildene Farm’s Goat Dairy and open meadows, and through the cross-roads of Hildene’s 12 mile trail system.  Once alit, your guests will be in awe of unparalleled views of Equinox Mountain and the Taconic Range.  Passing through the mansion and out into the historic formal gardens, the view expands to include the Green Mountains, with a stunning overlook with the famed Battenkill River Valley below.  After a breathtaking ceremony at the overlook and elegant cocktail hour in the garden, guests will descend along a winding path into a space for celebration. Here, the glow of the mansion on its majestic promontory, the sunset over the mountains, and the drifting evening lullaby from nature’s vignettes give rise to joyous reception.  Accompanied by the award-winning foods of Pangaea, whose ingredients include Hildene Farms own produce, meats and cheeses, and the floral designs of Manchester’s famed Lily of the Valley, every detail of your event from arrival to departure is overseen and cared for by the Hildene private functions team and its partner vendors. This is your Hildene wedding story – one that you and your guests will remember for years to come.
