At Spiral Press, you enter at street level, order up, and grab a table upstairs overlooking Main Street. Perks include cozy chairs, family tables, free Wi-Fi, and curated local art. Enjoy flaky croissants, crisp biscotti, custom coffee drinks, or delve into their delectable menu — the ultimate breakfast panini is bliss. Down in the Depot, tucked between the laundry mat and the liquor store, you’ll find a Manchester institution. Mrs. Murphy’s is an old-school doughnut shop with counter seats and side tables, hot coffee, racks of freshly made cakes, and plenty of parlay with locals. Yankee fans especially welcome. Go for a cider cake classic, a honey dip, or a maple frosted, and you’ll know why this little divey place was voted best in Vermont! Located: 374 Depot Street. Open most days. Early risers get the best selection; (802) 362-1874.

More: Grab a Green Mountain Coffee and a muffin to go at Maplefields when you fill up your tank; nicest staff, daily papers, and extra tall cups! For those who need their Dunkin’ Donuts fix, there’s one on Main Street, south of the roundabout.

Cappuccino Starbucks fans, you’re in luck. Manchester’s newest coffee klatsch opportunity, it’s open at 365 Depot Street. Walk in and grab a seat, or drive on thru. If you feel like a quick jaunt out of town, and bakeries are your thing, check out Dorset Rising where the morning menu includes breakfast bhan mi, avocado toast, and for the purist, toasted pan au levain with butter & jam. You’re welcome.
