GraVoc, a technology-consulting company located in Peabody, Massachusetts, is hosting a one of a kind business networking event at Pico Mountain in Vermont on February 12th, 2019. The event is open to any business professional who is looking to escape the office to enjoy a day of skiing or snowboarding while networking with like-minded people from all over New England! Tickets start at $40 and include 1 lift ticket, lunch & access to the après ski party. Looking for a ride? Purchase the transportation ticket & lift ticket for $70 which includes a round-trip bus ride from GraVoc’s headquarters in Peabody, MA to Pico Mountain. When you arrive, you’ll check in at your registration table where you’ll get your lift ticket and other goodies. Then you are off to explore Pico Mountain and just about all the terrain it has to offer! The event will utilize the two main quads (Golden Express & Summit) so grab a chair with a stranger and network on your ride up the mountain! The après ski party will kick off at 3:30pm and the event will conclude at 6:30pm.

This 2 1/2- hour tour is designed for those who only have a few days to spend and would like to discover what makes the area so special. The tour is best for those who are not familiar with Manchester and surrounds. Visit beautiful vistas, an international woodworking facility, the oldest abandoned marble quarry in the U.S., quintessential VT villages, a 5-star historic inn and more! Other interesting destinations depend on weather conditions for any given day. You will learn interesting facts, stories and history while traveling the country backroads in a 10 -passenger tour vehicle. (4 -passenger SUV for smaller groups). Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) welcomes back David Golibersuch to present the third talk in his Arctic exploration series. In this talk we will study the geography, history, nature, and culture of the Arctic regions of four countries – Norway, Sweden, Finland, and the United States. We’ll start with an expedition to Norwegian Svalbard. Then we’ll play tourist in the Arctic regions of Sweden and Finland, which despite being above the Arctic Circle, are surprisingly similar to Vermont. We’ll conclude by exploring one of the last true wilderness remaining on earth – the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. Registration is $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Auditions for the Dorset Players 16th Annual One Act Festival will be held on Tuesday, February 12 and Wednesday February 13 at 6:30 pm at the Dorset Playhouse. This is a chance for actors and would be actors to be onstage without the time commitment of a major production. The one act plays run anywhere from 10 to 25 minutes long. There are a variety of roles ranging in age from 18-70. The Festival will be held on two weekends this year. Performance dates are March29-31 and April 5-7.
