This whimsical holiday train will leave r.k. Miles Depot Station on December 15th and 16th, 2018, taking its riders on a one-hour enchanting journey through the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont. Passengers will be entertained with holiday melodies and dance routines by the elves of the theater and dance program of Burr and Burton Academy under the direction of Broadway and Hollywood song and dance man Jim Raposa. Refreshments will be served on decorated trains. Adding to the memories of this holiday ride, the elves will be reading a special story about Christopher Pop-In-Kins, who will also be hidden on every train in the greenery peeking to see who's been naughty and nice! Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will make a surprise visit to provide every child with a special gift. In addition, there will be a special guest appearance granted by Santa Claus for Christopher Pop-In-Kins to pop into Manchester, VT and share in the excitement of the season. He'll be here with his elves boarding the passengers for a ride of a lifetime on the ELF EXPRESS. Join Christopher and his friends on a fun-filled, sing-along mini-performance adventure through the Green Mountains. This is a Pop-In-Kins family adventure....
Southern Vermont Arts Center’s Fall Member Show Inside Out includes the work of SVAC’s artist members who represent a variety of styles and mediums: abstract, portrait, and landscape painters alongside photographers, sculptors, and other creators. There’s something for every taste, and all artwork is for sale. Free & open to the public. Suggested donation $5. The Arts Center is closed Mondays. The inaugural WinterWonderGrass Vermont, held at the Stratton Mountain Resort! WinterWonderGrass is mostly an outdoor event with numerous heated tents housing side stages, the kids' zone, coffee, ar and beer tastings. We are part music festival, part beer festival, and 100% mountain adventure. Bump into the artists of WWG on the hill, then join us each day at 1:45 for 3 hours of daily beer tastings (2-5 pm), and music on four stages. The event ends at 10 pm, if you want to keep jamming, you can buy a ticket to the after parties around Stratton Village. Join us for three days of music featuring headlining sets by Railroad Earth, the Infamous Stringdusters, Keller Williams, Fruition, Ghost of Paul Revere, Upstate and 15+ more bands.
