Open since 1977, Mother Myrick’s Confectionery, with their famous buttercrunch toffee, caramels and chocolate assortments, is a local landmark to all who know the exquisiteness of Manchester, Vermont. Owners Ron and Jacki have cultivated a robust and popular catalog of artisanal chocolates, gorgeous pastries and decadent cakes, using only the finest of ingredients. Their famous Buttercrunch is made with Vermont’s own Cabot Creamery butter, judged “Best in Class” at the World Championship competition in Wisconsin!

The retail shop is bright, fun, and makes people of all ages “a kid in a candy store.” Imagine the aroma of just-baked pies, sample the beloved Lemon LuLu Cake, and try a bite of Ron’s signature buttercrunch with its crisp toffee center, dipped in chocolate and rolled in fine almonds and cashews. Open every day!

Through their 35 years, Ron and Jacki have hosted memorable events to bring residents & visitors together. Their annual Summer Reading Program for kids K-6, their monthly Buttercrunch giveaway, and their Easter Egg Decorating Contest brings out the kid in all of us. At Mother Myrick’s, every product and every event expresses a commitment to celebration, community, and creativity.
