The Manchester Community Library is more like a community center than a traditional library, providing spaces, services, technology, and materials to meet, work, study, read, surf, learn, and play. Its physical space is designed to LEED Silver standards, with sustainable energy solutions and library planning principles in mind. It’s convenient to the center of downtown Manchester and fully ADA compliant. The staff at MCL is committed to providing residents and visitors alike with education, entertainment, and enrichment opportunities.
"A vibrant library is a social hub, a center of education, and a place to nurture entrepreneurial ideas."
Our library is a vibrant and trusted place where children and families can learn, play, and create together. The Children's Barn is flooded with natural light and designed to be an open, safe, and flexible environment offering books, computers, e-readers, games, and hands-on learning opportunities for children of all ages. The Loft is home to our Young Adult collections and is designed for kids in grades 5-8, with cool chairs, funky colorful carpets, and a selection of games, books, and media tailored to their ever growing needs.
The Manchester Community Library offers free WiFi throughout the building and extending into the parking lot. To connect, simply look for “MCL Public WiFi” in your WiFi status bar. You will be brought to a page that requires you to accept library internet policies
